Two photographers, one love story
Hi, we’re Claire and Jonathon, an award-winning Edinburgh wedding photographer couple covering weddings and elopements across Scotland.
Some things are just meant to be! Born in the same Edinburgh hospital, we first crossed paths years later while living in Leith, about a mile away from where we were born. Fast forward to getting married, having three wonderful children, and an energetic dog, Vinnie the Hungarian Vizsla.
Here we are, photographing your love stories and loving life!
Before we swapped pens for cameras, Claire was navigating the world of finance at one of Europe’s biggest banks, and Jonathon was keeping the skies safe in the RAF before running a successful print and graphic design business in Edinburgh. Safe to say, we like a challenge!

We aren’t just a business; we’re a husband-and-wife team who live and breathe storytelling. Because we’ve spent years working side by side, we’ve developed a sort of “creative shorthand”—a silent communication that lets us move through your wedding day as a single unit.
You won’t see us competing for the same angle or tripping over equipment; instead, we work in total harmony documenting your beautiful story.

Having been on the other side of the lens ourselves, we know the most memorable moments happen when you feel completely at ease. That’s why our approach is always relaxed, unobtrusive, and—dare we say—a bit of a laugh.
We don’t just want to be your “vendors”; we want to be the calm, friendly faces who make your day feel effortless.
The Story Behind the Lens: Why We Started
Why did Jonathon and Claire dive into wedding photography in Edinburgh? Well, like many great love stories, it started with a bit of disappointment.
When they tied the knot, they had no clue what to look for in a photographer or videographer. They booked someone, trusted the process, and… let’s say, the results were not frame-worthy.
The photos? Too many staged, unnatural ‘old-school, posed’ pictures and very few natural, candid images. The video? An 80-minute snooze-fest taken straight from the camera, with no editing and burned straight to a DVD.
Luckily, Jonathon had studied video editing at college. Armed with those skills (and a desperate need to salvage their wedding memories), he transformed the video into an eminently watchable one. The reaction from friends and family was great, and that sparked a thought—”Maybe I can do this…“
We traded in our everyday cameras for professional gear, completed every photography and videography course we could find, and began assisting established professionals. We worked our regular day jobs while editing late into the night.
Our drive was simple: We never wanted another couple to feel the disappointment we felt.
Fast-forward to today, and that commitment has paid off. We are incredibly proud to be multiple-time finalists and winners at the Scottish Wedding Awards and Scottish Confetti Wedding Awards, taking home titles including Photographer of the Year and Creative Photographer of the Year.
In 2026, after 20 years in business, we’ve decided to pivot our focus to 100% wedding photography.

One of our beautiful brides reached out to us shortly after her wedding. She told us her beloved grandparent had passed away just weeks after the celebration.
Through tears, she expressed how the photos we captured of them together—laughing, hugging, simply sharing a candid moment—had instantly become her most treasured possessions. In those images, the love between them was frozen forever, untouched by time, loss, or grief.
These photographs became more than pictures; they became memories she could hold onto and relive every single day.
It reminded us that your wedding photos aren’t just images for an album; they are an investment that grows infinitely more valuable over time. They’re the heartbeats you can return to, the laughter you can always hear, and the hugs you’ll forever feel.

We’re wedding photographers based in Edinburgh, but we have been honoured to photograph weddings and events throughout mainland Scotland and the North of England.

How far in advance should we book?
In Scotland, popular dates (especially Saturdays in summer) tend to book up 18 to 24 months in advance. To secure your date and ensure we are available to tell your story, we recommend that you Check Availability With Our Photography Team as soon as your venue is confirmed.
