I recently had the privilege of being Anette and William’s Bonham Hotel wedding photographer.

Shooting candid and editorial wedding photography for Anette and William on their wedding day was truly an international experience. Shooting the Bonham wedding photography in Edinburgh was a lot of fun!

Family and friends travelled from across the globe to witness and celebrate this wonderful couple’s marriage at one of my favourite intimate wedding venues in Edinburgh.

The Bonham Hotel is a beautiful venue in Edinburgh’s prestigious West End and is firmly one of our favourite boutique hotel wedding venues in Edinburgh.

How the Day Unfolded

I began the day by shooting Bonham Hotel wedding photos and photographing guests’ arrivals.

Groom Will looked relaxed and was in good humour as we photographed him in the streets around the hotel.

Anette is Norwegian and wore a traditional Norwegian outfit for her wedding ceremony.

Anette and her mum looked fantastic in their costumes, which was a nice personal touch for the wedding.

The wedding ceremony was wonderful, intimate, personal and a pleasure to photograph.

After the ceremony, I captured candid photos of family and friends congratulating our newlyweds.

Sadly, it rained for a while that day; however, beautiful Drumsheugh Gardens was available to shoot a few family and newlywed photos before the heavens opened.

This oasis of greenery was the perfect location to shoot a few newlywed photos of Anette and William.

About Claire Fowler

Claire Fowler is an experienced Edinburgh wedding photographer and one half of the husband-and-wife team behind Jonathon Fowler Photography. Together with Jonathon, she has photographed more than 700 weddings since 2006, including over 500 weddings in Edinburgh.
